Pipes: The Focus of Kiwa’s Early Work

In the early years, most of Kiwa’s work involved two main types of piping from abroad. Steel pipes and fittings had to be stained and asphalted by an asphalting installation. Cast-iron pipes were usually finished by dipping in coal tar; this provided better protection for use in the Netherlands.
