> DESIGN PHASE
Be it for a sidewalk or a highway, understanding the impact of subgrade conditions on long-term pavement performance is critical in developing pavement design solutions. At Raba Kistner, we perform traditional pavement thickness determinations based on traffic loading, subgrade, and regional conditions. With that data, we then design solutions that protect the pavement, as well as the subgrade from moisture fluctuations after construction, which improves pavement performance and reduces maintenance costs.
