ExTEL combines Kiwa resources to upgrade energy certification testing service capabilities

Kiwa is an internationally renowned testing, inspection and certification (TIC) company, and is also an authoritative organization for energy storage equipment certification and testing in Europe. In response to the take-off of Taiwan's energy storage industry, energy storage equipment certification and testing will become a key business of ExTEL in the future.

Europe has a large amount of energy storage construction and accumulated rich experience, making it the best candidate for Taiwan to learn from. Chen Jinxiong, general manager of ExTEL, said that the energy storage equipment is inspected at the point of purchase. Through strict technical training by Kiwa, the ExTEL team will provide high-quality services to Taiwanese customers with local manpower.
Kiwa is ambitious and has carried out extensive investments and mergers and acquisitions around the world. Entering ExTELis one of its important strategies to expand in the Asia-Pacific. Prior to this, it also acquired the KIWA PVEL solar module laboratory in the United States. The module test report issued by KIWA PVEL has always been an important reference for the market. The ranking list published has a key influence on the wishes of purchasers. In the past 10 years, it has gained the trust of more than 400 solar developers around the world.

Chen Jinxiong said that if domestic module manufacturers want to export to the United States, they must consider joining KIWA PVEL’s PQP Program. Many foreign developers will require module suppliers to obtain professional recognition from KIWA PVEL. In order to prevent and eliminate module washing of origin, KIWA PVEL’s testing platform can also play a certain role. Starting from May, Aste Energy will also become KIWA PVEL's professional sales partner in Taiwan.

Taiwan has just started to develop hydrogen energy, which plays a significant role in the 2050 net-zero emission path. Europe has already established a wide range of hydrogen refueling stations, leading the world and providing Taiwan with lessons to learn from. Kiwa is a trusted hydrogen energy safety consultant in Europe. It has established a comprehensive set of safety testing standards from hydrogen refueling station site selection, equipment shipment from the factory to on-site acceptance.
