Kiwa is an accredited test laboratory to ISO/IEC 17025 and an accredited certification body to the ISO/IEC 17065. Our accreditation guarantees assurance, trust and integrity!
The accreditation status, next to several other recognitions and designations, will ensure that our test reports and certificates are accepted in a variety of countries worldwide.
Directives
Kiwa has been designated as a Notified Body (NB) by the Dutch government for the following directives related to fire safety (detection) products:
- Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED)
- Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2004/108/EC (EMC)
- Maritime Equipment Directive 96/98/EC (MED)
- Construction Product Regulations 305/2011/EC (CPR)
- Kiwa has also been designated as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for Switzerland.
- Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC)
United Arab Emirates
The Ministry of Interior Civil Defense in the United Arab Emirates has given its official recognition to Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems that have been tested by Kiwa. For the holders of a Kiwa product certificate in the field of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems including Voice Alarm Control and Indicating Equipment (VACIE) this new development will mean a stronger competitive edge and will also facilitate access to the United Arab Emirates.
