You are…
Are you a contractor, architect, installer or plumber. Or are you working at a municipality or housing association and involved in installing plastic pipe systems for indoor sewerage? Are your glues not yet certified? Then Kiwa can help you further. Our certification experts in this area will study your question and will work with you to find the right solution to obtain the KOMO quality mark in accordance with the Kiwa assessment guideline.
Your own Kiwa quality mark
The assessment guideline BRL5221 is a certification scheme for adhesives for joints in plastic pipe systems for indoor sewerage. It concerns plastic pipe systems of PVC-U, PVC-C, ABS and PVC + SAN. It is important to know that the pipe systems for which it is intended for indoor sewerage have a nominal outer diameter up to 160 mm for the discharge of water at temperatures up to 90 °C. You will not receive the certificate just like that. We place high demands on the entry control of the raw materials, controls during the production process and on the end product. When requesting a quote, you indicate for which products and which technical area you want to be certified. For this assessment guideline it is: F2 piping systems.
Procedure obtaining KOMO product certificate
If you have agreed to our quotation, we will conduct an admission investigation. We are investigating whether you can obtain the KOMO product certificate in accordance with the requirements we have determined. We do this by means of a company audit and prescribed laboratory tests. The outcome determines whether you meet the requirements of BRL5221. If the result is positive, you will receive a KOMO certificate. The quality system - as laid down in the IKB - is then regularly checked by us. In this way your product continues to meet the set requirements. Your customers can be confident that your product offers them what they consider important; quality.
