BRL-K14010 – part 3 published binding
As of May 13, 2024 the BRL-K14010 - part 3 is published binding.
BRL-K14010 – Part 3 contains the requirements for a product certificate for Legionella prevention using chemical techniques, "Chemical dosing technology including the management instruction for the product and the installation".
This BRL specifically addresses chemical techniques approved by the Ctgb for use in collective drinking water and hot tap water systems. These techniques are used for Legionella prevention through chemical dosing. When used in accordance with the management instructions included in the accompanying Attest, they are suitable for drinking water systems with a maximum water pressure of 10 bar and a water temperature specified by the supplier.
The use of these chemical dosing techniques is subject to legal regulations.
Article 20 of the Drinking Water Regulation outlines the conditions for using biocides in drinking water and hot tap water systems.
The equipment associated with chemical dosing can be installed in the following ways:
- In the main supply line of the entire system;
- In the supply line of a part of the system.
