Kiwa Italy, already a world leader of CE certification of gas appliances, in 2007 has opened an entirely Italian laboratory for the testing of wood and pellet cookstoves.

Kiwa is an Empowered Certification Body and Recognized Test Center for Heat Pump KEYMARK. This means Kiwa’s heat pump experts can test equipment and components against applicable standards and provide manufacturers with the HP KEYMARK certificate.

Radio equipment testing and evaluation services conducted by Kiwa Creiven according to the RED Directive (2014/53/EU) are aimed at manufacturers of multiple types of equipment and consumer goods for obtaining CE Marking.

CE certification according to GAR (EU) Regulation 2016/426 is mandatory for all non-industrial gas appliances not used in industry. For boilers producing hot water, a specific certification according to Directive 92/42/EEC is also required, issued by an accredited and notified body.

The possibility of entrusting a competent body with the evaluation of electrical products for consumer and professional use is an advantage that manufacturers can benefit by turning to the experience and professionalism of Kiwa Italy and its specialized staff.

Tests conducted in Kiwa laboratories on products in contact with gas in accordance with the Gastec QA Standard ensure compliance with the quality, safety and performance requirements for placing on the Dutch market.
