Do you need a production control or a test for a certification? Or do you need to check the product properties of your product in case of complaints? Then you should contact us. We will be happy to help you. For product testing in the heavy clay sector, tests are carried out following EN 772 and DIN 105-100. We also test brick products with general building inspectorate approval.
Further tests are product tests of masonry mortar and plaster mortar within the scope of external monitoring and factory production control.
Are you a building owner, a structural analysis or planning office, an expert or surveyor? Then you should find out more about our testing. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
You want to be sure that planning security is available - we advise on cost reductions that are possible through an exact knowledge of the existing condition? Do you need a decision-making aid for building owners and experts? Then find out more!
Salts damaging the building
Here, as a rule, borehole samples are taken at previously agreed points. The salt ions (chloride, sulphate and nitrate ions) are getting determined in our laboratories.
Building moisture
To determine the moisture of a building, drill cores are taken from the masonry with a slow-running drill without heat input. The moisture content is determined gravimetrically by weighing the samples on-site and in the laboratory after drying to constant mass.
Static parameters
To determine static parameters, samples (masonry units and bedding mortar) are taken and the strengths are determined in the laboratory. These parameters help us to derive the basic stress σ0 or the characteristic compressive strength of the masonry following DIN 1053-1 or, in exceptional cases, EN 1996 (Eurocode 6).
Thermal conductivity and fire resistance class
The gross density determines on masonry samples. Bulk density, material characteristics and wall thicknesses, design values of the thermal conductivity are deriving via the current standardisation or the masonry assigned to a fire resistance class.
Plaster damage
In the case of plaster damage, an inventory and assessment of the workmanship are carried out. For determination of the cause, further investigations are done, e.g. to determine the strength, water absorption, hydrophobicity, etc.
