What you need to know
Vinçotte (member of Kiwa Group) has advanced expertise in carrying out long-term measurements related to building acoustics and vibrations. Our services include:
Initial measurement - prior to works/construction
- Long-term immission measurements (1 week to several months) at 1 or more points in the environment, using sound level meters (and possibly a vibration sensor (triaxial geophone). This measurement is designed to characterize the acoustic environment (background noise)/vibration prior to construction.
- Measurement of LAeq level and statistical parameters of use (LA95, LA50, etc.) and classification in terms of exterior noise category for the dimensioning of facades of a new building to guarantee normal/superior interior comfort.
Monitoring - work/site phase
- Installation of sound level meters (and possibly a vibration sensor (triaxial geophone)) for the duration of the work (demolition and/or construction).
- Monitoring of measurements by daily reporting to the format in force, provision of access to a monitoring platform (via Internet), setting up of an alert system (gsm/mail) in the event of values authorized in the permit/regulations in place being exceeded.
Acoustic parameters include LAeq,1h and LAmax values for the day, and LAeq,1sec graphs. Vibration measurements and analysis are carried out to DIN4150 (-2 or -3).
Leak detection
By carrying out in situ measurements, our experts can also detect acoustic leaks and suggest solutions.
Intervention in the event of disputes
Vinçotte is a totally neutral and independent organization and can intervene and advise you in the event of disputes.
