Steps to certification
You receive an offer with certification conditions and principles. These include the requirements for the incoming inspection of raw materials, controls during the production process and an evaluation of the final product.
In case of an order, Kiwa will contact you after receiving the signed agreement to discuss the further process. Kiwa will then conduct an approval inspection to determine whether your products and your internal quality control, which are recorded in a manual, meet the necessary requirements.
In addition, tests are performed in external laboratories on aspects such as thermal conductivity coefficient, dimensional stability, and fire class.
The quality system is regularly checked by Kiwa after certification. During these company visits, several certified products are taken and sent for testing by an independent laboratory. In this way, the quality of your product is monitored.
Kiwa tests insulation materials to measure the thermal resistance of the material with our heat flow meter. Furthermore, missing insulation can be identified by measuring the heat flow in a test specimen.
