Owners of underground storage tanks. Also, this Evaluation Guideline is important for coating applicators certified to the requirements of Evaluation Guideline BRL-K790.

When is it necessary?

Owners of underground steel storage tanks are required to protect these tanks by means of an external coating. In areas with a high water table the tank installation needs to be protected against corrosion and quite often in combination with a cathodic protection system. The coating used in such instances is required to be able to cope with these severe conditions. Coatings complying with BRL-K768 meet these requirements.
