What is a Digital Product Passport?
The Digital Product Passport is a digital document paired with a machine-readable code (e.g., QR, RFID) that hosts a record of an individual product’s entire lifecycle. It improves end-to-end traceability for repair, reuse, resale, and recycling processes, promoting circular business practices.
By equipping physical products with digital IDs, the solution enhances customer experience and opens new revenue streams through an on-product channel. Twintag facilitates seamless communication with all value chain stakeholders, offering transparency and convenience by linking physical products to their digital twins.
How does it work?
Data collected throughout the product and supply chain is shared with relevant key actors across the value chain. Data attributes may include usage, environmental impact, recycling guidelines, regulatory compliance, and ownership history. This data can then be used to centralize and share Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and other product certifications.
