Luc Leroy succeeding Paul Hesselink as new Kiwa CEO
We are pleased to announce that current COO Luc Leroy has been appointed CEO of Kiwa effective October 1, 2023. The appointment signifies the next step in Kiwa’s ambition towards the future. Luc’s experience, drive and skillset will enable Kiwa to realize its growth ambition.
“I’m excited and honored to accept the role of CEO of Kiwa,” said Luc Leroy. “Over the past years, I have been a part of Kiwa’s strong development and growth, thanks to the unwavering trust, confidence and support of all the people that are part of our great Kiwa family. I’m proud to be part of that family, proud of our company, proud to continue the Kiwa strategy and create new chapters in our ongoing story. In the coming period, we will continue building upon our current strategy with a focus on strengthening and reinforcing our market position, thus creating a truly global company.”
Over the past 21 years, Paul Hesselink as the CEO guided Kiwa on a voyage of fast growth, diversification and globalization whilst building and maintaining a strong culture amongst employees. Paul will stay with Kiwa until the end of the year, transferring his duties to Luc Leroy. As of early 2024, Paul will take a role as a strategy advisor for Kiwa, our parent company SHV and as an advocate for the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector in general.
Paul stated: “I have had the privilege to contribute to Kiwa’s development and growth as CEO since 2003. Now, I have made the decision to take on another role. Over the years, we have become a global family of companies with over 10,000 colleagues, working from 40 countries all over the world, creating trust and driving progress for many customers in a wide variety of markets, generating over 1 billion euros in turnover. As a member of the SHV Family of Companies, Kiwa is set, motivated and ready to take next steps. I’m proud of what we have achieved and will achieve together!”
“I’m very much looking forward to continue building our great company on that firm and robust basis, together with all colleagues and other stakeholders,” concluded Luc. “We fully aim for continued growth, an ambition shared with and supported by SHV. In volatile times and rapidly changing markets, Kiwa stands tall. We are a solid, great company that builds and radiates trust, ready to turn challenges into successes.”
