Kiwa certified first Dutch company according to We Care standard

Dutch organic trading company Tradin Organic has recently been certified by Kiwa Germany according to the newly developed We Care Standard.

Along with Alnatura and Lebensbaum, Tradin Organic is thus part of a group of pioneers in the food industry that were the first to be We Care certified.

Sustainability standard for food industry

We Care is a comprehensive sustainability certification for the food industry that focuses on responsible supply chain management. Kiwa had a vital role in the development of the standard. FiBL - Forschungsinstitut für biologischen Landbau or Research Institute of Organic Agriculture in Germany has published the standard.

Companies certified according to the We Care standard act in a holistically sustainable manner along the entire supply chain and work on continuous improvement. To achieve this goal, relevant sustainability aspects are systematically considered.

Kiwa certifies We Care

Kiwa ensures that We Care-certified companies fulfil their due diligence obligations along the supply chain and continuously improve them. Kiwa is part of the steering committee in which the standard is continuously developed. At the same time, FiBL monitors the standard. This creates commitment and a new ecological and social quality in the supply chain.
