Kiwa and Green Energy Park, Morocco, provide ‘one-stop-shop’ for PV testing and certification

Kiwa and Green Energy Park in Morocco have signed an agreement for a cooperation allowing Green Energy Park to perform as a by Kiwa appointed external lab for testing and certification of Photovoltaic Modules, inverters and batteries.

Green Energy Park, a unique model of testing, research and training facilities located in BenGuerir, Morocco, performs the testing of the solar PV modules. The platform is currently developing a test lab for inverters and batteries with the support of Kiwa. This will be the first lab in this field in Africa. Kiwa, as Notified Body, will perform the certification of the products.

Through this cooperation Green Energy Park can offer the large and ever-growing African solar PV modules market a ‘one-stop-shop’ for PV testing and certification. The collaboration gives Kiwa the opportunity to offer manufacturers of solar PV modules an easy access to the North African market as well as African markets in general.

Green Energy Park

Green Energy Park is established through a partnership between the Institute of Research in Solar and Renewable Energies (IRESEN) and University Mohammed 6 Polytechnic (UM6P). The platform conducts research on priority topics that cover all the phases of the value chain of research and development, from the core component to the complex systems, in order to meet national and African needs in the field of renewable energies, and to strenghten the link between the university and the industry.
