On the way to PlanetProof: independent environmental quality label for agri and food
As of 2019 ‘’On the way to PlanetProof’’ is the new international environmental quality mark for dairy products, vegetables and fruits, eggs, flowers, plants, trees and flower bulbs sold in The Netherlands. The quality mark demonstrates the sustainable origin of products. Kiwa can assist companies in getting “On the way to PlanetProof” certified.
“On the way to PlanetProof” farmers and horticulturists are working towards a cleaner air, fertiliser soil, good water quality and animal welfare. They pay attention to more nature on the farm, circular waste processing and recycling.
Who can be “On the way to PlanetProof” certified?
Farmers and horticulturists that meet the “Planetproof” requirements may use the “On the way to PlanetProof” label. Traders, packagers and processors of products have to meet the “PlanetProof” criteria to get certified in order to create transparency. The requirements are revised and refined when necessary every year.
