Start at Kiwa
‘After obtaining my BSc. in Electrical Engineering - Telematics which I achieved at the Anton de Kom University in Suriname, I achieved my MSc. in Internet Science and Technology at the University of Twente, in The Netherlands. After completing my studies, I had one of my first job interviews at Kiwa and it immediately felt as a good match. I was told that Kiwa had big and disruptive plans with regards to IoT and Digitalization and that they would start with a new business line. For me, that was the best possible combination. I gladly took the opportunity and start working at Kiwa in June 2019.'
'I chose Kiwa because I like to work in a well-established, proven successful and international company while still being able to work on something totally new. Since I was fresh out of school I had to learn a lot with regards to the working live in general. Now I’m becoming more adequate in my role as a Product Manager which is also result of the excellent team work I enjoy with my colleagues.'
What do you like about your job?
'When I started working at Kiwa, our IoT Security business was just being started. Since then we have been working on many great projects and we continue to develop. I am proud to be part of that.'
'One of the great aspects of my job is that I’m involved in the development and improvement of security of IoT products and the whole infrastructure behind the smart world. Our projects are not just about testing devices, but also checking the processes, technology and human interactions of the infrastructure. In this way I can contribute to a safe transformation of a more digital, smart world. Working towards something so important is something I cherish because it also aligns with my personal values of ambition and success.'
What is so great about working at Kiwa?
'Firstly, my colleagues are great, we have a lot of fun together and we form a warm group. Secondly, I have a lot of freedom in my role. I am entrusted with a lot of responsibility and that motivates me to do my very best. Furthermore, working at Kiwa is a very diverse experience, you often get involved in corporate projects, in my case setting up the new Kiwa Global Digital Platform. I have been given the opportunity to attend various types of activity where I continuously learn something new. As people say, experience is the best teacher.'
'I am looking forward to continuously be involved in worthwhile projects and developments within Kiwa. When I consider the opportunities at Kiwa, I’m sure this is exactly what will happen. For now I attempt to perform my current role impeccably. As long as I am part of something worthwhile which also aligns with my inner compass, I will be content.'
