Plant certification (simplified plant certificate type B)
As an accredited certification body ISO 17065 we issue simplified plant certificates type B according to VDE-AR-N 4110. These certificates present an evaluation of documents (planning documentation) according to the requirements given in the VDE-AR-N 4110, based on the certification program stated by the FGW-TR8. By issuing the plant certificate compliant planning of the plant according to the standard is attested to the grid operator. The plant certificate must be submitted to the grid operator before commissioning. Our goal is to guide you most efficiently through the process of certification, to save you from unnecessary paperwork.
Note: we do not issue plant certificates for plants > 950 kW nor certificates according to the single case verification procedure (plant certification type C).
Plant declaration of conformity
As an accredited certification body we also issue declarations of conformity for plant certifications. Depending on your specific demands we offer you the whole range of services, from the verification and certification of documents as part of the declaration of conformity, to the declaration of commissioning, to commissioning tests of protection devices (medium and low voltage) and PGS controllers (power generating system controllers).
Declaration of commissioning
According to Annex E.11 of VDE-AR-N 4110, the declaration of commissioning is a prerequisite for issuing the declaration of conformity for the plant. At your request, we can compile the declaration of commissioning in close coordination with the plant operator/connection owner. With the declaration of commissioning the documentation of the plant and commissioning test reports are merged into one key document.
Note: we do not issue the commissioning report according to Annex E.10 of VDE-AR-N 4110 since this falls to the plant installer/commissioner and plant operator.
Protocol for testing in the operating phase according to chapter 11.5.5 of VDE-AR-N 4110
To comply with Article 41 of the NC RfG, the plant operator must submit documents every four years, which have been summarised in an implementation aid of the VDE FNN "Protocol for testing in the operating phase according to Chapter 11.5.5" of VDE-AR-N 4110. We support you here by compiling the necessary information to be able to submit the protocol and the corresponding annexes to the grid operator. Protection tests and functional tests of the active and reactive power control can also be offered for this if required.
Protection tests
At your request, we are testing protection devices for the protection functions as required by the grid operator located at the point of connection and the generating units. Our tests are carried out according to the requirements stated in the standard FGW-TR3 Annex H.1, consisting of (amongst others):
- Overcurrent protection and short circuit protection
- Decoupling protection (voltage and frequency protection)
- Reactive power-Undervoltage-protection (QU-protection)
Function tests of PGS controllers
We offer to test the active and reactive power control of PGS controllers according to the standard FGW-TR3 Annex H.2. As an accredited testing laboratory, our experience in testing PGS controllers as part of component certification helps us to assist you with state-of-the-art mobile measurement equipment to carry out tests of the PGS controller even for controllers without data monitoring or data logging.
