The GLOBALG.A.P. Supply Chain Standard (CoC)
Certification for all producers and traders handling GLOBALG.A.P. certified products. With the new CoC version 6, CoC certification will be mandatory for all companies involved in the trade of GG goods in the supply chain from January 2022.
What it's about
In addition to agricultural production certification, GLOBALG.A.P. also offers a chain of custody certification. The chain of custody includes the process of tracing a certified product along the entire supply chain - from the farm, through the various stages of trading, sorting, packaging and storage, to the final consumer. This chain of custody is monitored through invoicing and other sales documentation processes. The label of the final product is marked with a code confirming that the product is indeed GLOBALG.A.P. certified.
Transparency throughout the supply chain ensures the integrity of your product and secures the trust of your customers. The GLOBALG.A.P. Supply Chain Standard is an essential certification for all producers and distributors handling GLOBALG.A.P. certified products. It ensures that a product sold as a GLOBALG.A.P. certified product comes from a GLOBALG.A.P. certified operation.
What is the CoC standard?
The GLOBALG.A.P. CoC standard tracks products throughout the entire process, from grower to retailer. It establishes requirements for the use of certified products and the proper separation of certified and non-certified products in processing units. Retailers, processors and distributors can credibly demonstrate that they are selling certified products, demonstrate traceability and become visible on the GLOBALG.A.P website.
Who needs CoC certification?
Any product sold with the GLOBALG.A.P claim must be traceable from the end consumer to the farm. For this to work, every company along the supply chain must be certified to the CoC standard. The chain of custody standard ensures an unbroken chain where certified products are identifiable, segregated, and traceable.
If your company purchases products from a GLOBALG.A.P. certified source and wants to sell them as such, you need a CoC certification.
Your benefits of GlobalG.A.P. certification:
